Ok this is really easy. To add sound, video or whatever
go to edit my profile on your private view page, Hit
the My Assets tab. Choose media box. This will place
a media player on your page. Now go back to your private
view page and hit my media under additional modules.
You can add a link to any type of media: a song , a
video you can even upload your new joints. It's up to
you.
To change the look and feel of your page go to the

Q. How can I change my e-mail address and/or
password?
Your e-mail address and password are found under "Account
Settings." Start by clicking on "Home"
in the top navigation menu from any HumSubka web page.
Once on your Private view home page, click on "Account
Settings," appearing in the upper left portion
of the page, next to your picture. You will be taken
to your "Account Settings" page where you
may edit any of your current settings for these items.
If you do not receive a confirmation email, try checking
your bulk or spam e-mail folder. Because HumSubka often
can send so many notifications per day, Hotmail, Yahoo
and AOL often assume our messages are spam. If this
becomes a problem, try setting up a new email account
just for HumSubka, or add HumSubka to your whitelist.

Q. I'm trying to upload an image, and I am
getting an error message... what is wrong?
First, make sure the image you are attempting to upload
is in one of the formats HumSubka accepts (.gif, .jpg).
Next, make sure the filename is simple and short, with
no spaces or funny characters. "Image.jpg"
is a good filename "Looking and hooking up next
to some stuff~#~.jpg" is probably not going to
work. Next, make sure the filename is less than 600k.
We do not allow images over 600k. If none of these things
work, it's possible that the image is corrupted.
Luckily there is an easy solution. Go to http://www.download.com/
and download a copy of the software program IrfanView
. IT'S FREE and you can use it to resize images so they're
less than 600k, or resave images that may be corrupted.
Once you have downloaded and installed IrfanView , simply
run the program, open your .gif, or .jpg image, and
resave it as another version (example: in IrfanView
, open file named pic01.jpg, and resave it as pic01b.jpg).
Then, simply return to HumSubka and upload your newly
resaved image.

Q. Why is my Profile page suddenly funky? Why
does my Profile page suddenly have music or sound on
it? Why does my Profile page suddenly have strange graphics
or effects on it?
There are 2 reasons why your Profile page may suddenly
change and/or appear messed up. Either you yourself
added some HTML code to your Profile page improperly
(i.e., forgot to close a tag, etc.), or someone else
added HTML code to your page via a Comment they placed
on your page.
While only you have secure access to edit the contents
of your own Profile page, others can place HTML code
within their Comments when leaving you a Comment on
your Profile page. HTML code placed in Comments can
be used to create an endless array of effects on your
Profile page, including background music/sound, graphics
and animations, cursor changes, and many other interesting
effects that you may or may not desire to have on your
Profile page. If you feel you have caused the problem
yourself, through improperly implementing HTML code
on your Profile page, try to troubleshoot your HTML
code to determine where the error is, and fix it. In
the worst case scenario, you may need to remove all
your HTML coding (NOT delete your entire Profile), and
start your HTML coding again from scratch. If you feel
the cause of the problem lies in HTML coding embedded
in a Comment that someone else left on your page, you
can attempt to identify which Comment contains the HTML
code, and delete it from the list of Comments on your
Profile page. Though there is not always an easy way
of identifying which Comment contains the embedded HTML
code, you can often narrow it down by observing exactly
when the problem first occurred... i.e., if everything
was fine until Comment "X" was added, then
try deleting Comment "X" and see if the problem
is solved. HTML also looks distinctive. The comments
will likely include an unusual number of punctuation
marks, and nonsense letters and words. We strongly encourage
you to attempt to resolve these issues yourself using
the above solutions. However, if you have tried everything
and absolutely cannot solve the problem, send an email
to info@HumSubka.com.

Q. I'm putting HTML code in my profile and
it's not showing up.
HumSubka filters out potentially malicious code, including
all javascript.
TOP
Q. Parts of my profile seem to have disappeared.
I see "stars" or strange characters where
I should the words I typed for my interests, heroes,
movies, television, etc.
HumSubka links each phrase in your interests to a list
of other profiles with the same interests. By clicking
a word in someone's interests you can find other users
with the same interests. If you've used a black background,
the black test of our links will disappear making your
profile look blank. To rectify this, or, if you don't
like the links on your profile, for any reason, you
can disable the links.
To disable the links, just edit that section (i.e.,
music or books) and add any HTML tag anywhere in the
input box. This tag in those boxes will disable the
links.
For example <Z> (a non-existant tag) will disable
the links.
(Advanced) To modify the way the links look, apply
a new style to the link class: a.searchlinkSmall

Q. Somebody "hacked" my profile and
now my background is different, my fonts have changed,
there's new music, etc.
This is not "hacking" - someone has simply
left you a comment that changes your page. If you don't
like the changes, find and delete the particular comment.
Only you can change the content on your profile, however,
other users can enter HTML code into comments that can
change the look and feel of your site. We allow this
because it allows users a greater degree of freedom
in their profile. If you are having a problem with this,
please email info@HumSubka.com.

Q. How do I change the order my Friends appears
on my profile?
You can't change the order. The order is semi-random
and can change from time to time. But generally you'll
see users who have signed up first at the beginning
of the list.

Q. Why am I getting "Friend Requests"
from people I don't know?
HumSubka is a community of very friendly individuals.
When people on HumSubka see your Profile, they may wish
to add you to their personal circle of friends. When
this occurs, you will receive a request to be added
to their personal list of friends. You may either approve
or deny this request, it's completely up to you. Some
people enjoy meeting new people and "collecting"
friends, while others simply wish to keep their circle
of friends limited to people they actually know. There
is no right or wrong, and it is not considered rude
to deny a friend request. The choice is always yours.

in Friends list?
Yes! You can send an e-mail through the HumSubka system
to anyone you see on HumSubka. From the Profile page
of the person you would like to communicate with, simply
click on "Send an E-Mail," found under "Contacting,"
in the section just below the person's picture. You

Friends"?
There are 2 ways to add people to your personal list

the site is FREE. HumSubka is supported solely by advertising
(the banners you see at the top of every page). In the

Q. Someone on HumSubka is creeping me out...
what can I do about it?
The best thing to do if and when you encounter such
a situation is simply ignore them... 99.9% of the time
they will soon leave you alone. Remember, you can always
remove the person from your Friends List (they will
then no longer be able to add Comments to your Profile
page), delete any Comments they leave on your Profile
page, and you can even delete any messages they send
you via the HumSubka Mail system without opening them.
By NOT responding to offending user (i.e., NOT giving
them any attention, NOT letting them get a "rise"
out of you), most people will simply go away.
You may also view their profile and click "Block
User", which will prevent them from contacting
you. Annoying people get bored very fast when you don't
allow them to annoy you. If you cannot resolve the problem
yourself, contact Peter. If someone is threatening you,
contact Peter immediately.

Q. What are Gropus For?
Groups allow you to find other members of HumSubka
with similar interests. Some people join groups just
to indicate their interest in certain ideas, things
or actives. Each group has a Forum and Bulletin Board
for members to communicate. It's fine to create a group
without the intention of creating discussion. When you
join a group, it is listed on your profile. By joining
a " Getting Live” group, for example, you
can indicate to other HumSubka users your interest in
“Getting Live”, even though the group may
not be used for discussion.
